BackgroundBovine mastitis, a condition with multifactorial etiology, imposes significant economic burden on the dairy sector in Ethiopia, Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) being one of leading etiologic agents. The acquisition compiled source information concerning S. is imperative order to enhance control and prevention strategies, as well facilitate successful implementation national action plan aimed at curbing antimicrobial resistance by year 2025. Thus, primary objective this meta-analysis was comprehensively summarize estimates proportion beta-lactam profile bovine mastitis Ethiopia.Methodselectronic bibliographic data such PubMed, Web Science, HINARI, Google Scholar, other databases were used search articles quality assessment performed using AMSTAR-2. pooled proportion, rate resistance, 95% confidence interval calculated random effects model STATA 17 statistical software. Funnel plots, Eggers assess publication bias.ResultsTwenty-six (26) cross-sectional studies included meta-analysis. overall S.aureus 35% (95% CI: 0.31 0.41). Considerable heterogeneity observed (I2 = 90.75%; P < 0.01). subgroup analysis study region showed differences. highest estimated regional mastitis-associated 40% Amhara Tigray regions. plot results no statistically bias (Eggers test: p 0.5656) estimating infections association mastitis. A total 14 estimate resistance. penicillin 75%, followed amoxicillin 67%, ampicillin 50% cephalosporin 57% evaluated treatment aureus. Therefore, present has revealed that prevalence bovine-associated its antibiotics are alarmingly high Ethiopia. This further emphasizes vital necessity implementing effective preventive measures reduce incidence spread pathogen across entire nation.
